•Posted at 10:55amI can honestly say that you’re right. Whenever I do ANYTHING, for ANYONE, I do think about how it’ll benefit me, no matter how big or small. I think it’s human nature to do so. Even in biology class we learned about ‘symbiotic relationships’ -two organisms using each other for their advantage.
There are times however, when I will do something, knowing that I won’t benefit from it. I think that’s the “test” of friendship. Are we willing to do things for others without getting anything in return? For the most part, I do go out of my way for other people, even if they don’t do the same for me. It makes ME feel good that I did something nice, so in a way, I am benefiting.
